Q. What are the eligibility requirements to be a WOI Expo sponsor?
Sponsorship of the Women of Influence Procurement Expo is restricted to two groups:

1) Corporations who have supplier diversity, women's development initiative or small business utilization programs;
2) Women-Owned Businesses (certified WBEs or otherwise)

Q. What benefits do I receive for my sponsorship?
Each sponsorship level receives different benefits; please click on Sponsorships to see what benefits your sponsorship level receives.


Q. Whom do I contact regarding my sponsorship benefits?
If you have any questions, regarding the benefits of your sponsorship that are not answered on this web site, please contact Kate Armstrong, Consultant to the KWBC at, 816-332-6216 or karmstrong@kansaswbc.com.


Q. When is my sponsorship payment due?
KWBC’s financial terms are Net 30 from date of invoice or
November 21, 2008, which ever comes first.

Q. Where should I send my sponsorship payment?
Checks can be made out to the Kansas Women’s Business Center and may be sent to 8527 Bluejacket, Lenexa, KS, 66214.

Q. Does my sponsorship booth include carpeting, electrical or Internet access?
No, these items must be purchased separately through the exhibit contractor (carpeting, furniture, etc.) and the Overland Park Marriott (electrical and Internet/phone access). Your Exhibitor Kit will include pricing information and forms to use when ordering these additional services and materials.

Q. Can I serve food or beverages at my booth?
Yes, but there is an additional charge and you must contact the building catering company to confirm. See Exhibitor Manual for details.


Q. I have people coming in only to help me set up my booth, how can I get a pass for them?
Individuals needed to set up your booth will only be allowed in the exhibit hall the morning of the 22nd from
7AM to 9AM.  At that point, all individuals without a registration badge will be asked to leave.

Q. As a sponsor, do I receive a reserved table at meal functions?
This will depend upon your sponsorship level. Please review your sponsorship level benefits for more details.


Q. How do I add the names of the people who will be using the All Access Expo Passes included in my sponsorship benefits?
We will contact you after your registration has been received to confirm the names of your guests.


Q. We registered someone to use one of the Full Conference Admissions, but now they can't go. How do I transfer the Registration to someone else?

Q. Does 10 All Access Expo Passes mean that I get 10 registrations, plus one for me, or that the 10 registrations already includes one for me?
The 10 All Access Expo Passes you receive as a Sponsorship benefit already includes one for you, for a total of 10 registrations.


Q. How many people can sit at each reserved table during the lunch function?
Ten (10) people/spots are seated/available at each reserved table.

Q. Policies and General Information.
Registrations and/or payments received on/after
Friday, October 10, 2008, will need to register on-site. Registrations and payments will not be processed online or at KWBC’s offices after this date. Registrations on-site must be guaranteed with a check or credit card.

Q. What is the cost to attend the Women of Influence Procurement Expo?
An "All AccessPass," which includes a luncheon ticket, is $50.

Q. What is the Women of Influence Procurement Expo?  
It is a one-day procurement expo that will connect procurement executives and supplier diversity representatives with women-owned businesses from across the entire Midwest region. Many corporations have expressed the need to meet qualified, women-owned vendors from the Midwest region and the KWBC is here to connect those two groups.
                                                                      

Q. Where will it take place?
It will take place on
October 22, 2008 at the Overland Park Marriott in Overland Park, Kansas (metro Kansas City area).

Q. Who should attend the WOI Procurement Expo?
Women business owners, corporate buyers, supplier diversity professionals from the private and the public sector as well as other small business owners and government officials.

Q. Who will exhibit?
Industry leaders in energy, retail, transportation, technology, telecommunications, finance, banking, defense, construction, hospitality and consumer goods to name a few, as well as government agencies and women's business enterprises (WBEs).


Q. How many exhibitors do you expect?
The KWBC expects approximately 35 exhibitors including major
Midwest corporations with supplier diversity programs and leading women's business enterprises (WBEs) as well as federal government agencies.
